Together, Sanjay Suri and Onir have come together for MY BROTHER NIKHIL and BAS EK PAL. While MY BROTHER NIKHIL was critically acclaimed and still makes the round of festival circuits across the globe, BAS EK PAL wasn’t as lucky though it was appreciated at some quarters.
However, after a brief break and thorough study of what they wanted to make, Sanjay Suri and Onir penciled on SORRY BHAI, a sweet feel good light hearted entertainer which is all set to release on 28th November. With Sharman Joshi and Chitrangda Singh heading the cast with able support from Boman Irani and Shabana Azmi, the film has Sanjay Suri playing the role of ‘bhai’.
If one looks at SORRY BHAI, it seems like everyone had a party time during the shoot with Mauritius being the chosen location. Was it all fun and frolic or were their moments of tension due to production hassles etc. as well?
Smiles Sanjay Suri, “No production is hassle free, but if one has a supportive team of cast and crew then the entire journey becomes enjoyable and productive. We were lucky to have an understanding and cooperative bunch which allowed the shoot to move on at a breezy pace.”
How about the promotion of the film? When does one see SORRY BHAI getting into fifth gear?
“In a couple of days from now”, reassures Onir, “We have already started making our presence on the music channels and next fortnight would see further impetus in the way awareness around SORRY BHAI would be created. Today’s audience has a short attention span and it makes sense to hit when the time is right.”
